TV AND FILM - ACTRESS - EXTRA - WALK-ON - PRESENTER Occupation: Television producer. Semi-retired after 25 years in TV and radio. I worked on documentaries and features in London and Birmingham. I’m also a serving Magistrate. Age: 55 years. Playing age from mid 40’s to mid-50’s I’m 5' 5" tall and a medium build. I’m a mid-blonde with blue eyes. Experience/training: A year at Birmingham School of Speech and Dramatic Art, Church Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham. (1971) A one day TV and Film seminar (for extras) run by a London Casting Director. (2007) A member of the 'Casualties Union' which supplies actors/extras for major incident and trauma training to the police, the fire service, the armed forces, hospitals, railway stations, airports etc. We do our own - blood and guts - make-up. I've worked on a number of TV reconstructions for both the BBC and ITV, also on several corporate videos. Playing roles have been: injured potholer in a cave rescue; women being attacked in the street; guest at party; detective; diner in restaurant; hooker; accountant; and stroppy householder. My most recent work has been playing a businesswoman at a 'fantasy' board-meeting and a legal clerk in a courtroom. I've also co-presented two 'live' TV awards programmes for the EBS. Talents: I’m physically fit. I can ride a horse, swim, cycle, play golf and ski and have also sky-dived, bungy-jumped, canoed and abseiled, but don’t sing or dance. I'm comfortable working with most animals, large or small, including: rats, mice, snakes, lizards, bugs and beetles. Dialect: My speaking voice is more RP than Birmingham but I have lived in the city a long time so I can do a pretty good local accent if required. Wardrobe: Lots of business suits; wax jacket and wellies; hats - both formal (weddings and funerals) and informal; gym kit; evening wear and casual wear both smart and not so smart! - jeans and gap tops. My time-keeping is excellent. I’m reliable and very professional. I have a good sense of humour and am not fazed by early calls, late wraps or uncomfortable locations. Although I clearly live in the Midlands, and would welcome work in that area, I’m a car owner and happy to travel. Because most of the work I do is flexible I can often be available at short notice.
